Bringing God’s never-changing Word to His ever-changing world

About Ballyclabber RPC

Lord’s Day Services

Each Lord's day we meet twice for public worship, at 11.30am and 7.00pm. A parent and baby room is available where the service can be heard and seen via a video link, parents look after their own children in this room. During the time of the sermon there is also a supervise Children’s Church for children up to 8 years old. Each of our services is designed as a Family Service and everyone is welcome. Before the morning service we have Sabbath School classes for all children between 4 and 18 years old and also there is an Adult Bible Class for those over 18s. There is a time of prayer before each service, morning and evening, we feel that these are vital for the prayer life of the church.

Mid Week Meeting

Our Mid Week meetings have changed in format over the last year. We have now have two that meet on Tuesday nights. The majority of the congregation attend one of these groups and we find that they have deepened the fellowship within the congregation. On the third week of the month we hold a joint Mid week meeting on the Tuesday night when all groups meets together. We in Ballyclabber feel that congregational prayer times are vital to the spiritual life of the congregation. These meetings are both of tremendous spiritual benefit to the congregation and to the lifes of the individuals who attend. We feel that God blesses us as individuals and as a congregation in our spending time studying His Word and spending time in prayer.

Youth Work

We in Ballyclabber feel that children need to hear God's Word explained to them in a friendly, Christian Environment. We have Sabbath School classes each Lord's Day from September to June, just before the morning worship service, Children from 4 - 18 years old are divided into five different classes and are taught God's word in a way designed for their age group. Then we have C.Y. groups. C.Y. stands for Covenanter Youth. We have 3 different age bands which meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturday evenings of each month from September through to April.

Covenanter Youth

The younger children (5-8 years old) are in a group called CY Minis which is led by a leader with a number of helpers. We teach them Bible Stories in a fun way but telling the story accurately and applying it to their lives. We also sing Psalm choruses, teach memory verses, play games and have other activities that are appropriate to this age group.

Junior CY, which is for 8 - 14 year olds, is divided into two groups and has similar activities to that of CY minis. Senior CY (14+) is run by a committee of young people with adults overseeing and helping with Bible Study. For their study time, the 14 - 16 year olds separate from the older ones and have their own study and discussion times.

CY Minis 6.30 - 7.45pm (2nd and 4th Saturdays)
Junior CY 6.30 – 8.00pm (2nd and 4th Saturdays)
Senior CY 8.00pm (2nd and 4th Saturdays)

Parents and Toddlers

This group meets during school term time, when a good number of babies and toddlers come along with their parents to have a time of fun and make new friendships in the warm atmosphere of the church surroundings. Every week we pick an activity for either parents, childern or both. These range from handpainting to exchanging recipes to sharing a meal together. The families who attend come from a wide area and new families are always made to feel very welcome. If you want any more information do not hesitate to email either address on contact page.

Senior Badminton meets on Monday night from 7.30pm. This is for anyone too old for Junior Badminton. The club enjoys a friendly atmosphere and brings people quite an area.
